The responsible management of FSC-certified forests by local people provides these communities – wherever they may be in the world – with a sustainable livelihood and helps to combat illegal logging at a time when our fragile planet can ill-afford further deforestation. At the same time the replanting of new trees ensures the cycle of life, generating much needed carbon-locking stock.
